The Material Mover position at Lowe's is a key role that enhances the customer experience by ensuring that needed merchandise is available. Organizing and maintaining a clean environment and accurately managing stock while receiving, stocking and replenishing merchandise is imperative.

Responsibilities:

• Being professional when delivering customer service means being knowledgeable, efficient, and effective when addressing customer needs. This also includes being respectful and maintaining a positive attitude at all times
• Obtain, keep, and re-establish goods
• It is essential to be aware of and implement safe lifting practices for the protection of your physical health when handling heavy items
• Safely and proficiently remove products from incoming cargo
• Place goods in the store and restock various sections
• Handling hazardous substances and repairing damaged shelving
• Keeping the backroom well-organized and ensuring that all equipment has sufficient battery life are both fundamental duties that require close attention
• Get Proactive by Placing Items on the Top Shelf

Requirements:

• Competence to comprehend and anticipate the physical challenges that come with moving merchandise for most of your working hours
• Willingness to Work Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Overnight Shifts Anytime
• Capacity to undertake tasks that may require extended periods of standing, sitting, and other physical activities essential to fulfill job requirements
• Aptitude to raise 25 pounds without help; potential to lift objects weighing more than 25 pounds either with or without assistance

Travel Requirements:

Although this job does not involve regular traveling, occasional trips may be required for meetings, training, or supporting nearby stores.

• The availability of job applicants needs to be flexible, with the store sometimes requiring more hours than usual on an hourly, full-time or part-time basis
• To develop a comprehensive skillset in education, it is necessary to begin with a focused strategy towards reading, writing, and arithmetic, such as learning addition and subtraction
• The job requirements specify that candidates should possess at least 90 days' proficiency operating lifts, order pickers, or other power equipment
• A six-month background managing inventory and stocking duties within a warehouse is sought for this position
